I believe in the power of the arts to move us to experience any emotion possible. I have always been drawn to light and color, and to the feeling of a presence in my subject matter....someone is coming, or someone has just left, and, perhaps, the viewer in his or her observation of the artwork, also feels included in the composition. I believe continuing to learn and study is important to growth in my art work. I also believe in the pure expression of having fun, of delighting in what I do, even as I recognize I have a long way to go!
